song: Silverflame
artist: Dizzy Mizz Lizzy
album: Dizzy Mizz Lizzy (1994)
writer: Tim Christensen

guitars: Tim Christensen
electric bass: Martin Nielsen

"In particular, one guitarist I related to and started listening to a lot was the American guitarist Mike Stern. His kind of jazz is perhaps more fusion, but it certainly features electric guitar, and he is not afraid of stomping the distortion pedal, even if this is jazz. I connected my rock-universe to this new alien jazz-universe; he was the perfect coupling for that. I listened a lot to this and, for the first time, I began transcribing what he plays, trying to reproduce it on my own guitar, and hence to learn some of his tricks and licks and characteristics. There are certainly one or two moments in the Silverflame-solo, when I can clearly hear Mike Stern, since I listened to him so much at the time." - Tim Christensen
[my translation, confer the song Another Way Around by Mike Stern and the guitar solo, 2:34-4:12]
