This is the main theme song for the 1969 Swedish children's TV series, Pippi Longstocking, based on the 1940s children's book series by Astrid Lindgren. The theme was composed by jazz pianist Jan Johansson and, sadly, became of one his last works before his tragic death in 1968. This particular song was recorded by Danish jazz bassist NHØP in 1993 for the first album in the Åh Abe series, a series of Danish children's music.
