This is a complete and detailed transcription of Antoine Boyer’s enthralling arrangement of the Jazz standard, “You Must Believe in Spring”, complete with fingering notation. This tune is probably best known from Bill Evans’ 1977 recording, and this guitar arrangement seems very inspired by the opening free-time section in Bill Evan’s piano arrangement.
Antoine Boyer’s recording here is the third part in his so-called “Solo Shorts” series. The guitar arrangement features some very original chord voicings makes the guitar shine as a chord instrument. This is definitely for the advanced guitar player, but it is a profound display of the guitar as a solo instrument. Enjoy!
