This classic tune was originally presented as an instrumental score, composed by Charlie Chaplin for his 1936-film Modern Times. In 1954, the lyrics were added, and that very same year, Nat Cole King recorded his popular version, which has become the song’s primary reference point since then.
This duo version by Aimée and Figueiredo sets the song in a free groove, where the guitar and voice follow each other dynamically. In my humble opinion, this is Diego Figuereido's best jazz guitar arrangement to date. Enjoy!
