(I cannot find the credits for the musicians playing the other instruments, the double bass, the flute, etc. These are probably musicians from Claus Ogerman’s band – back then it was uncommon to register which band members played on a session or give them individual credit.)
This is a note-for-note transcription of all the instruments listed. This version of “Água de Beber” was released in 1965, on Jobim’s second album in his own name, and it is the first version in which he sings as well. It was recorded around the same months as the paradigmatic version by Astrud Gilberto, from her debut album, which is why the two follow the same basic arrangement (except that Gilberto’s version is down in the key of A minor). This arrangement is the one transcribed in the Real Book. Enjoy!
