This is a two-in-one transcription of the first two versions of The Breakup Song by Mateus Asato. The first version (2019) was uploaded to his Instagram channel and to his YouTube channel, titled “the breakup song [idea]”. The second version (2022) was uploaded to his Instagram channel and to the Mateus Asato Fc YouTube channel, titled “The Breakup Song 2.0”. The two versions are essentially the same arrangement; the main difference is the tuning and the tone which was ‘tuned down and toned down’ for the second version. This composition is a beautiful ballad whose arrangement makes the best and most melodic of the rare guitar key of G# Minor (and D Minor in the baritone tuning). As opposed to many other of his pieces, this is relatively slow and not that hard to learn. Enjoy!
