This is a note-for-note transcription of tune “Manhã de Carnaval” by Paul Desmond and his band, of the saxophone, guitar, and bass parts. (This beautiful song was the theme from the movie Black Orpheus and, for some reason, it is ended up being credited as such.) This recording features Paul Desmond and Jim Hall’s signature Jazzy take on the Bossa Nova that was still taking over the world of music at the time. It also features a great solo by both of them, as well as their magical interplay throughout the song. Enjoy!
