7-string electric archtop guitar: Bucky Pizzarelli
This is a note-for-note transcription of Bucky Pizzarelli’s gorgeous guitar part on Rosemary Clooney’s recording of “I Wish You Love”. The guitar part makes great use of the 7 strings with its big piano-like chord stacks. This jazz standard was originally a French song “Que reste-t-il de nos amours?" (in English: “What remains of our love?”), first released in 1943. In 1956, the song was introduced in the US with English lyrics, with the title “I Wish You Love” and the memorable first line, “I wish you bluebirds in the spring”. Enjoy!
