This is a transcription of Johnny Smith's guitar adaption of the Scriabin prelude for piano, Opus 16: '5 Préludes', No. 4, Prelude in E-flat minor. This is a beautiful little jazz-guitar gem, which is really easy yet contains such a poetic potential. This work is written in Scriabin's so-called early musical period in the late 19th century, which was influenced by the Romantic tradition's the common practice of functional chord progressions and a focus on voice leading, all of which later became, what we today recognize as, common practice in Jazz music. This is just gorgeous - Enjoy!
