The term of the song title refers to the term “double stop”, an old classical music term for (perhaps, a bit misleading) playing two notes simultaneously on bowed instruments, e.g. a violin or cello. Nowadays, this is of course a completely common finger-picking technique on guitar. For this song, however, the picking technique is also a blend of picking with fingers and pick, making this tune a great technical study for daring guitarists. Enjoy!
