electric guitar: Julian Lage
double bass: Scott Colley

"Look Book" is essentially a fast 16-bars Jazz-Blues standard reminiscent of the Bebop-era. This tune is one of the more demanding ones to play for its sheer pace. It displays the technical capacity of the Julian Lage Trio, and it is a great insight into great musicians having fun in a high gear.

See the upper clip to hear Julian Lage discuss his approach to range and registration, using this tune as an example.

Also check out this intense live version (see the video) from the radio show, 'Life from Here'. On the double bass is Mike Elizondo, and behind the drums is Ted Poor.
