This is a heck of a tune! I went through three stages of listening: At first glance, this sounded like an childishly innocent and innocently diatonic tune. But, once I realized that you had to count to the beat in 256 bpm in order to keep up with the poly-rhythms and half measures, it completely confused and defeated me. After getting back on my feet, and up to speed, the tune took me for a wonderful spin. This is the Julian Lage trio showing some musical muscle, and it is a wonderful tune for practicing yours, too! Enjoy!
