This tune is an brief adaption of the first (A) of three encore sections from Keith Jarrett’s 1979 album, Eyes of the Heart, which was originally recorded at a concert in 1976 featuring his American jazz quartet. The Julian Lage trio’s version here standardizes the bass riff and the theme to more standard-like form. This recording features Julian Lage in a highly energetic mode of diatonic playing. Enjoy!
