This is a classic-jazz style recording of the 1930s jazz standard, “I’m Getting Sentimental over You”. Take a listen to the original recording by Tommy Dorsey and his Orchestra. The Julian Lage trio’s arrangement is likely intended as a tribute to Jim Hall’s rendition. Despite the roots in classic jazz, this also features Julian Lage’s very modern soloing; he plays around with timing and quirky dissonance in his idiosyncratic style. Enjoy!
